It’s the new iPad Pro.
Liquid Retina display
Try to find a more advanced mobile display. We’ll wait.
Liquid Retina technology
The edge-to-edge Liquid Retina display is not only gorgeous and immersive, but also features incredibly advanced technologies.1 Like ProMotion, True Tone, and industry‑leading color accuracy, which make everything feel responsive and look stunning. Quite simply, this combination of features make it the world’s most advanced mobile display.
Think you know
Advanced cameras combined with a large display, fast performance, and highly calibrated sensors have always made iPad uniquely capable. The Wide and new Ultra Wide cameras help you frame the perfect photo or video. And together with studio‑quality mics and four speaker audio, you can even set up a multicamera filmmaking rig.
New 10 MP ultra wide camera
12 MP wide camera
LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) is used to determine distance by measuring how long it takes light to reach an object and reflect back. It is so advanced, it’s being used by NASA for the next Mars landing mission. And it’s now been engineered to fit in the thin and light iPad Pro.The custom-designed LiDAR Scanner uses direct time of flight to measure reflected light from up to five meters away, both indoors and out. It works at the photon level, operates at nanosecond speeds, and opens up tremendous possibilities for augmented reality and beyond.
The LiDAR Scanner works with the pro cameras, motion sensors, and frameworks in iPadOS to measure depth. This combination of hardware, software, and unprecedented innovation makes iPad Pro the world’s best device for augmented reality.
The pro camera system makes iPad Pro incredibly versatile. Shoot, edit, and share a 4K video, all on the same device. Capture an entire room in one shot with the Ultra Wide camera and use Markup to redesign it on the spot. Or scan a document, sign or mark it up with Apple Pencil, then send back your notes with a tap.
The front-facing TrueDepth camera enables Face ID, the world’s most secure facial authentication in a tablet — and in a computer. It also means you can chat with friends using FaceTime, take Portrait selfies, or liven up your Messages conversations by turning yourself into an Animoji.
Faster than you can say PC.
With the A12Z Bionic chip, iPad Pro is so fast it outpaces most PC laptops available today. It makes everything you do fast and fluid, from your everyday tasks to graphics-intensive workflows. And the 8-core graphics processor means even more performance and realism for the apps and games where it matters most.
A12Z Bionic is designed to be put to work, especially with pro apps. The 8‑core graphics processor delivers fluid performance for things like 4K video editing, 3D design, and augmented reality. Enhanced thermal design means higher peak and longer sustained performance — critical for pro workflows. And the Apple‑designed Neural Engine enables on‑device machine learning ready for the next generation of pro apps.
Yes, it floats.Magic Keyboard
The all-new Magic Keyboard is an amazing companion for iPad Pro.2 It features the best typing experience ever on iPad, a trackpad that opens up new ways to work with iPadOS, a USB‑C port for passthrough charging, and front and back protection. And it features a floating cantilever design, allowing you to attach iPad Pro magnetically and smoothly adjust it to the perfect viewing angle for you.
A full-size keyboard designed for iPad Pro brings individual hard keycaps and a scissor mechanism with 1 mm travel for a responsive, comfortable, and quiet typing experience. So go ahead, write your novel, knock out a business plan, or rip through your inbox. And with backlit keys, you can get things done day or night.Trackpad reimagined
The biggest thing to happen to the cursor since point and click.Trackpad for iPadOS
Trackpad support opens up powerful new ways to use your iPad. The reimagined cursor experience has been designed specifically to work in a touch‑first environment. It’s contextual, so it transforms into the tool you need depending on the content you’re pointing to, like buttons, app icons, and text. It’s perfect for tasks where you need an extra level of precision, like building a spreadsheet or editing text. You can also use intuitive trackpad gestures to quickly get around in iPadOS.
Just for artists.
And everyone else.
Whether you’re retouching a photo or illustrating a birthday card, the tilt and pressure sensitivity combined with the low latency of Apple Pencil enable all forms of artistic expression.2 And it charges while magnetically attached to your iPad Pro, so it’s always ready when inspiration strikes.Take notes
iPad is perfect for taking notes and organizing your thoughts. Sketch ideas in the Notes app as naturally as you do on paper, then catalog them, share them, or add them to a presentation. You can even search your handwritten notes. The App Store is also full of great apps that let you organize, annotate, and take your notes to the next level.
Goes where no laptop would dare.Thin, light, and durable

Further improving the 12.9″ iPad Pro, Apple has added a few new advancements for upgraded performance, entertainment, and usability. Replacing the A12X processor, the A12Z Bionic has performance rivaling that of laptops available today, in addition to an eight-core graphics processor that handles everything from games to 4K video editing. Moreover, it’s still paired with a Neural Engine chip for advanced machine learning.
The iPad Pro’s display features the same Liquid Retina technology found on iPhones, and has a 2732 x 2048 resolution, ProMotion technology, wide color and True Tone support, as well as a 600 cd/m2 brightness rating. On the rear, Apple has added a 10MP ultra-wide camera, enabling different perspectives and multi-camera use. A newly added LiDAR scanner, which determines distance by determining light reflection, further readies possibilities for augmented reality and beyond.
With “Pro” in its name, the iPad now features five studio-quality microphones that capture clean audio and the quietest details. The combination of the pro cameras, audio enhancements, and its large display makes the iPad Pro a suitable mobile studio option for creative users. On the software side, iPadOS now supports trackpad inputs for an easier time navigating including mult-touch gestures. Lastly, Apple has opted for a USB Type-C connector rather than its traditional Lightning connector for additional features and broader compatibility with other devices.
This iPad comes preloaded with iPadOS. Please check your device settings for the latest available update.
Edge-to-Edge Liquid Retina Display
The Liquid Retina display in the iPad Pro features wide color support, True Tone, and an anti-reflective coating for a natural, accurate viewing experience both indoors and out. It also supports ProMotion technology, which automatically adjusts the display’s refresh rate, up to 120Hz, for smooth and responsive scrolling.
A12Z Bionic Chip
The Apple A12Z Bionic chip, built on 7nm technology, is designed to tackle complex tasks such as editing photos, creating 3D models, and more. Additionally, a Neural Engine chip works alongside the A12Z for advanced machine learning from photography to AR.
Face ID & Cameras
With the removal of the home button, the iPad Pro now utilizes its 7MP front-facing TrueDepth camera with Face ID for security and unlocking your device. It works in any position and enables you to use Apple Pay in apps as well as Animoji and Memoji in chats. At the rear is a 12MP camera, which supports 4K video, document scanning, and AR experiences, as well as a 10MP ultra-wide camera for a different perspective.
Built with over 100 magnets, the iPad Pro seamlessly connects to additional accessories. The Apple pencil can magnetically attach to the side of the iPad Pro for simultaneous pairing and charging. On the other hand, the magnets firmly secure the Smart Folio Keyboard in place and detach easily for alternate viewing modes.
The USB Type-C connector has replaced the Lightning connector as a one-cable solution for a wide variety of connectivity options. It supports USB 3.1 Gen 2 speeds for up to 10 Gb/s file transfers, an external 5K resolution display, and even other devices for sharing power.
Built with a 36.71 W lithium-polymer battery, the iPad Pro is rated to last for up to 10 hours while surfing the web on Wi-Fi, watching videos, or listening or music. Models utilizing cellular network data for these services will have around a nine hour battery life instead.
